OPERA PUNKS is a wild web of improvised musical scenes. All dialogue is sung, and every scene is in a different theatrical and musical genre. Accompanied by former Second City Music Director Kelly Shuda on keyboards, guitar, and drum samples, and featuring some of the best musical improvisors in Minneapolis, the show swerves from New Orleans blues to speed metal, over-the-top opera to tender trap. No genre is safe. The show will open with longform improv from EC natives Kelly Shuda and Josh Ingersoll and standup by Matt Hasenmueller.
