Early in December, on St. Nicholaus day, good children sprang from their beds to discover small gifts and treats left for them by St. Nicholaus. The bad children, however, would be visted by the Krampus!

In European folklore, the Krampus is St. Nicholaus' dark servant - a hairy, horned, supernatural beast whose pointed ears and long slithering tongue gave misbehaving children the creeps! The Krampus terrorized the bad children intil they promised to be good. Some he spanked. Others he whipped. And some he shackled, stuffed into his large wooden basket, then hurled into the flames of Hell! (from an exerpt written by Monte Beauchamp)

It may not be December yet, but crafting this creepy beast seems perfect for October (and you'll be ready when the time comes)! Join your friends at The Broom & Crow for an evening of laughs, lore, and crafting with local artist, Karen Scarseth. The cost of the class is $25 and all the materials are included.

Optional: bring a pair of scissors with you (we'll have a few pairs to share).

Maximum class size: 6 people (you'll need space to cut fabric, hot glue, and move around)
