Bountiful Harvest Dinner features foods from land and water. Doors open at 5:30 pm, 6:00 pm buffet style dinner with venison, elk, turkey, fish and chicken entrees. Raffle drawings follow dinner. Featured speaker, Steve Betchkal, takes the stage at 7:30 with "A Walk West: Rediscovering America's National Parks a Step at a Time." Steve Betchkal, Eau Claire based ornithologist, environmentalist and Emmy and Murrow Award-winning veteran journalist has worked at 3 national parks and camped and backpacked 67 others.  Many of these alluring and beloved places are included in his newest book, Walk the Walk, Camp the Camp, Bird the Bird. In his 30 years as a professional journalist he’s produced 11,000 TV stories.  Steve has worked for Lundblad Expeditions – National Geographic in the Galapagos Islands and now works at Crystal Cave in Spring Valley.  Betchkal who is fluent in bird has also authored All of This & Robins Too, Make Birds Not War, Wisconsin Birding Trails and Cat Tails.  Steve will have books available for purchase and signing.
